Week 5: Setting up a Facebook Business page for Crafting Melodies brewery

 Post Reach and Post Engagement

Post reach is the number of people who see a certain post on your page, while post engagement is are all actions that people take involving your ads while they are on Facebook. Facebook post reach is calculated by dividing the average number of users who see your post by the average number of total likes you get on your page. Therefore, post reach in my own words would be the number of people who see your post while active on their Facebook. Post engagement is calculated by the number of users who are engaged in your post. Meaning that post engagement would be user who physically interact with your post by giving them likes, shares and comments; while, post reach is the people who see your post after you have put it on your profile.

I believe it is important to know both in order to be able to see where you need to improve. If your posts are getting a lot of likes and shares and they are being seen by a lot of different people then you are doing great. The problem arises if you notice a lot of people are seeing your post; however, no one is liking or sharing your content. Therefor you would need to make your post more entertaining or engage more with your followers to have them reply to your posts and improve post engagement and vice versa.

Facebook Insights

Facebook Insights can be used by a business to better serve their customers by helping them understand what their customers want. For example, using this tool can help a business see what posts got the most views or what post did acquire the most action on the page. Being able to physically track these actions by customers can help the business understand what their customers want to see; therefor, being able to customize their Facebook page to fit that niche. By continuing to make these customers happy their company's Facebook page will grow and allow them to reach new clients as previous customers engage with their posts more.
